Working with you to help with your personal health budget.

Personal Health Budgets

If you have been granted an NHS personal health budget we will work with you to discuss and plan the right care tailored to your needs. We will look into what your budget is, your individual needs and requirements and set up a plan that covers this. When looking to hire a personal assistant we are on hand to help.

As of October 2014, those were are eligible for NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) funding have a legal right to a personal health budget. It is expected by the NHS that this is the case for anyone who is in receipt of the above. This budget has been found to improve people's experience of care and also save the NHS money, proving to be a better solution all round. It is essentially an amount of money that would have previously been spent by the NHS on your care, but is now given to you to put towards your care. The amount is decided based on your identified health needs and is agreed by you and your local NHS team, so you can fully benefit.  By putting it into a budget form it allows greater flexibility and to be tailored more specifically to meet your needs. It means that you will know upfront how much you have to spend and that you can be involved in your own care plan. You will be able to spend the money when it suits you and your health requirements and in a way that makes you feel comfortable.

Here at Secure Personal Assistants, we have a wealth of experience in working with the different funding bodies across the UK. Your budget might be coming from a Health Authority or Local Authority and we are well experienced in communicating with both. We can aid you in direct payment support, third-party arrangements, integrated personal budgets and so much more, tailored depending on the route of our service you choose to take. You can either be the legal employer of your Personal Assistants or we can be the legal employer for you.

You are the legal employer.

If you as an individual are paying for your personal assistant via direct debit then it classifies them as an employee and you have certain responsibilities you need to follow. Being an employer in this instance is great for giving you the freedom, flexibility and control over who you hire and when they come in, however it can feel a bit of a minefield when you first begin the process.

Secure is the legal employer.

If you want to take the hassle out of your finances, then you can take out a third party agreement with us at Secure Personal Assistants. This means that we will be in charge of employing your personal assistants, but you still do have a level of control. We will be here to support you with funding, training, recruitment and tips to help you manage your personal health budgets.
